Relationship between Edge Magnetic Field and Rotation of the Spatial Structure of Visible Light Emitted from Low Aspect RFP Plasmas on RELAX

The relationship between the edge toroidal field Bt and rotation of spatial structure visible light emitted from reversed pinch (RFP) plasmas is reported. captured by a high-speed camera attached to horizontal viewing port RELAX, which was designed for RFP experiments. It found that velocity direction depend on Bt. In non-reversal case, rotates in co-current direction, while counter-current reversal case. frequency are consistent with magnetic fluctuations measured probes.
